performances
What is the potential of performances to help us start necessary conversations and better share the world together?
What are their limitations?
Inspired by Elisabeth Povinelli's concept of artistic bait, Carol Stampone uses performances as experiences that become liminal spaces to plant seeds to start reflections related to political problems.
For Stampone almost everything that concerns sharing the world can be counted as a 'political' issue. Her text-based performances are made of scores that challenge what is personal or political, and sometimes even private.
